How-To: Pizza Sauce

I love this no-cook pizza sauce. It's easy, garlicky and tastes so good on pizza or used as a dipping sauce for stromboli.

The recipe calls for canned diced tomatoes, but I'm sure you could use fresh too.

No-Cook Pizza Sauce
Makes 1/2 cup

1/2 cup diced tomatoes, drained
2 tsp. olive oil
1 small garlic clove, minced
1/8 tsp salt

Drain the canned tomatoes (or dice your fresh ones) and dump into a blender or large container.

Add olive oil, minced garlic and salt.

Mix in blender, or with an immersion blender until it reaches your desired consistency. I like mine to be pretty smooth, but not completely emulsified.

Spread on your favorite pizza dough, or use as a sauce with stromboli or calzones.

I have frozen extra sauce, but the garlic loses a little of its punch.
